It is for treasured memories, for inspiration, and for realization of
values in life, that we, the journalism class, bring you this annual.

It is our hope that this yearbook of 1950 will serve, in all of your
future years as a reminder of school day friendships, of educational benefits,
of laughter and fun, and of so many other treasures in life too numerous
to name. With the aid of this book, it is our hope that your school
days will remain forever dear to you through the years to come—a treasure
of memories.

It is our further hope that this book will serve as an inspiration to
good school spirit and through this, promote the good will among students,
teachers, and parents that is so vital to educational progress.

Your 1950 Warwhoop is also the product of youths’ desire to formulate
ideals and goals in life, realizing the importance of a wholesome attitude
toward values in life, culminating in a better world for mankind in
the future.

We have endeavored to bring you the best annual possible—one that
would be a delight to the eyes and to thought. It has not been an easy
task. Tired Editors, typists, and writers kept doggedly and carefully
working on until every little detail had been accounted for. Then it was
placed in the hands of our good friends at Leo's Studio—a very capable
concern.

We have planned "from the inside out", one might say, striving for
an abundance of pictures of high quality and novel arrangement of the
pictures on the pages. Our own talent was applied to the art work found
herein, and many of the smaller snapshots were possible through the ef-
forts of a student photographer. It was then decided that all of our best
efforts should be extended not only through the pages of this book but
from cover to cover. Something handsome in maroon and gray was chosen
for the cover, and we hope that you like it.

We are very thankful for our good friends—the advertisers—who, not
through self-benefit or profit but through warm-hearted desire to support
this project, have lent us a helping hand. We are also grateful to the
teachers and students who have cooperated and contributed to this book,
which we hope you will like as ''a thing of beauty’ and "'a joy forever."
