OUTSTANDING SENIOR ATHLETE

GLENN ATKINSON-spirited competitor and talented three-sport star;
well liked by his teammates
and coaches, Glenn played top-notch
football in the line, turned in outstanding
basketball and baseball performances
for four years; Glenn undoubtedly
ranks high among the all-time
Reardan athletes for close co-operation
and teamwork with his
teammates and coaches, hard work
in training, "love for the game"
and will to win. (See Letterman’s

SPECIAL AWARD
(ROY) ANYAN-said, by his coaches, to possess more
natural ability than any other athlete they
have ever coached; said, by many Reardanites,
to be the most outstanding all-sports
athlete in the history of the school;
amazingly quick and speedy with a ball
and having inexhaustible physical
endurance and stamina;
a four-year non-graduating
veteran with an outstanding
record since his eighth grade
days when he won honorable mention
in the state basketball
tournament; awarded a trophy by
coaches in appreciation for his
important part in Reardan’s
great athletic successes.

Atkinson and Jr. Anyan
Both boys were instrumental
in the last four
years, in Reardan’s
twice gaining a berth
in the state basketball
tournament and in
Reardan’s baseball
championship of the
Northern Division
last spring. Both won
first string all-division
places on the football
and basketball teams
this year. Now, after
bringing many fine
trophies to Reardan
in their careers, they
are now "on the receiving end"
as their school honors them.

HONORARY FOOTBALL CAPTAIN

BOB ROGERS --powerful, though light fullback; honored by his
teammates and coaches with the above distinction
fleet-footed and strong, Bob packed the ball and
tackled with such football fury that he proved a
tremendous inspiration to his teammates; never
injured, never fearing, he became more rugged
and stronger as the competition became keener;
also a veteran senior in basketball and baseball,
having the highest batting average of the team
this past season.

Yell Leader

Just as it takes keen teamwork among the athletes,
likewise takes teamwork among a school’s yell
leaders and student body. They must provide the
student body with the necessary pep that helps keep
athletes keyed to victorious ambitions. Leading
yells and inspiring winning spirit is a tough job when
the team is behind in the score, but the young ladies
on the right are to be commended for their ability
and success in keeping up the Reardan spirit—win
