Every student looks forward to the time when they will graduate from high school.
Graduation carries with it a dignity and a satisfaction that a certain portion of one’s life
and education has been completed. Then what? Do not stop your education now.
Continue if at all possible. Have a purpose, develop that purpose in life, and continue
to achieve it. Be a success in whatever you do. Worthy labor is honorable regardless of
what it is.

An article appeared in a pamphlet entitled “Successful Living” published by Clint
W. Lee Company of Seattle. This article entitled “Purpose” will carry out the idea I wish
to express.

I feel it is a great honor to be annual editor this year, It has been a great pleasure
working with the annual staff and hope this annual will be a treasure of wonderful
memories for you to cherish in years to come.

I wish to thank all who have cooperated so well in making this annual possible--
students, faculty, merchants and townspeople. The pictures, ads and articles that are
combined together in this annual represent the work of the entire staff. Their cooperation
has been very greatly appreciated.

To all the high school students, I wish the best of luck in years to come and may the
graduating seniors have success and happiness in the future.

Abraham Lincoln once said, “I do the very best I know how--the very best I can;
and I mean to keep on doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what is
said against me won't amount to anything; if the end brings me out wrong, ten angels
swearing I was right would make no difference.”

Each one of us, teacher and student alike, may profit by remembering Lincoln’s
philosophy. Each day provides an opportunity for new learning. This is especially true
of the years we spend in school. The greater the obstacle the more satisfaction in over-
coming it. True and lasting happiness comes only through accomplishment. No matter
who you are, what you are, or where you may be, you can do something to change the
world for the better. You, as an individual, are important. You count!
