'''SENIOR CLASS HISTORY'''

On September, 1948, twenty-eight angels tiptoed quietly through the front door
into the Reardan High School building. But not for long, we soon found ourselves entering
the back door which was one of requirements for initiation week, We were initiated
on the evening of October 7, 1948. Each freshman was required to perform a certain
stunt dictated by the seniors. We soon found ourselves entering full heartedly into high
school life.

Out of twenty-eight members, eleven entered from outside districts. During the
school year we did not gain any new members, but did lose one of our members, Bill
LaRue.

The social function sponsored by the Freshmen was the party given in the spring.
The evening consisted of dancing and refreshments.

The freshmen were well represented in athletics and other school activities. Mary
Bergeron was our representative to the Student Council. Marie Carstens, Dale Dahlin
and Nancy Whipple represented the class in the All High Play. Junior Anyan, Clifford
Wigen, Dwayne Paul, Carl Rogers, Dale Dahlin, and Wayne Repp represented us in
athletics. Our sponsor was Mr. McKay.

The class officers during the Freshman year were:

We started our sophomore year with the addition of two new members, Bertha
Coil and Dick Compton. Later in the year Dick Compton returned to Spokane, John
Morris enrolled in John Rogers High School, Spokane, Wayne Repp left to go to work
and Harold Rhoads also left. Don Reid became a member of our class on February 2.

The class officers for this year were:

The class advisor this year was Mr. Steele, and our representative to the Student
Council was Carol Hein. Janet Clinton was elected one of the yell leaders.

On September 5, 1951 twenty-four of us entered Reardan High as Juniors. We
gained two members during the year, Barbara Koberstine entered on September 5, and
Douglas McEachran entered later in the fall, Both students entering from Spokane.

The following served their class in these capacities:

Dale Dahlin was the representative to the Student Council, Miss Cash was our class
advisor. This year we adopted the colors of blue and white as our class colors, the
American Beauty Rose as the class flower and “Put Your Best Foot Forward” as the class
motto.

We presented the class play, “Madam Ada” on the nights of November 16 and 17.
Eight Juniors participated in the performance. The play, directed by Mrs. L. Spencer
proved a big success. :

Our rings which we ordered early in the fall arrived in time for Christmas. We were
very proud of them.
