Front row: Barbara Rutter, Patsy Heslin, JoAnn Tierney, Joan<br /> Meyer.<br /> <br /> The student council is made up of a representative from each class, a representative<br /> from each chartered organization in the High School and three elected members from<br /> the Student Body at large. The superintendent or principal is also a member of this<br /> group, but has no vote.<br /> <br /> This group meets prior to each student body meeting in order to discuss business<br /> pertinent to the student body and to formulate recommendations to be made at the<br /> student body meeting.<br /> <br /> The other duties of the Council are to grant charters to clubs and organizations of<br /> the high school and to specify conditions for the granting and withdrawal of the same.<br /> To have charge of all financial matters pertaining to extra-curricular activities, and to<br /> take under consideration all matters referred to it by the superintendent, the faculty or<br /> the student body.<br /> <br /> Council officers this year were:<br /> <br /> &lt;poem&gt;<br /> President: Paul Lillengreen [Presides over student body meetings]<br /> Vice President: Wayne Blair [Presides over council meetings]<br /> Secretary: Joan Meyer<br /> Treasurer: Patsy Heslin<br /> Advisor: Mr. McKay<br /> &lt;/poem&gt;<br /> <br /> (from a yearbook held by the Reardan Schools.)</div>
