The entire Glee Club and<br /> the entire Band participated in this Festival. The ratings are as follows:<br /> <br /> &lt;poem&gt;<br /> Glee Club: Excellent<br /> Band: Superior<br /> Junior Chorus: Excellent<br /> &lt;/poem&gt;<br /> <br /> &#039;&#039;&#039;EASTERN WASHINGTON LARGE GROUP FESTIVAL&#039;&#039;&#039;<br /> <br /> On April 18, 1953, both band and glee club participated in the large group<br /> Festival at Cheney, Washington. This meet was sponsored by the Eastern Washington<br /> Music Educators association at EWCE.<br /> <br /> Approximately 1500 Inland Empire high school musicians participated in the contest.<br /> Again Reardan displayed excellent musical ability as shown by the following ratings:<br /> <br /> Class C Bands<br /> Superior: Reardan<br /> <br /> <br /> Class C Girls Glee Club<br /> Excellent: Reardan<br /> <br /> Out of 26 bands present, only three received a Superior rating, of which the Reardan<br /> Band was one.<br /> <br /> &#039;&#039;&#039;LILAC FESTIVAL PARADE, MAY 16&#039;&#039;&#039;<br /> <br /> The Reardan Band and Majorettes marched down the streets of Spokane in this<br /> parade. Reardan has been participating in this parade for several years.<br /> <br /> &#039;&#039;&#039;ALL SCHOOL MUSIC CONTEST&#039;&#039;&#039;<br /> <br /> On the evening of May 20, 1953, the music departments of the Reardan Schools<br /> presented another concert. This being the last home performance.<br /> <br /> &#039;&#039;&#039;MARCHING CONTEST AT ODESSA&#039;&#039;&#039;<br /> <br /> This is an Annual event.
