On September 7, 1948, twenty-four Sophomores again entered the halls of Reardan High School. At our first class meeting the following officers were elected:
President: Audrey Lightle
Vice President: Mary Lou Kamm
Secretary: Darlene Reilly
Treasurer: Irene Remmers
Student Council Rep.: Ruth Christensen
Advisor: Mr. Walter Johnson.
Of the original Freshman class three were missing. These were: Edward Green, who is now enrolled in the Spangle High School at Spangle, Harry Carrol, who is now attending Carter County Union High School in Montana, and Glory Cramer, who is now attending Medical Lake High School at Medical Lake. Ralph Gifford joined our class, entering from Spokane.
As football was the major sport during the fall months, we were proud to have several of our class participate in this sport, namely, Bob Rogers, Glen Atkinson, Don Clayton, and Jack Fields.
The Sophomores came to the front again when Elinor Flood was elected as a delegate to the Leaders Conference held in Seattle November 12 and 13. Elinor came back with a very good report.
Also one of our members, Helen Lightle helped to share the honors of being one of the Yell Queens.
We were very well represented in Basketball this year. Glen Atkinson played on the first team, while the following made the second squad, Bob Rogers, Don Clayton and Peter Tramm.
