Senior Class History (CONTINUED)

This year we gained one new member, Lorene Tremer. She transferred from Chelan, Washington.

At the beginning of the year, we installed class officers. They are as follows: President—Jerry Owens, Vice-President—Verdella Haeger, Secretary—lva Atkinson, Treasurer—Marvin Carstens, Prom Promoter—Sally Landreth, Junior Play—Richard Stuhlmiller, Student Body Representative—Jerry Owens, Class Advisor—Mrs. Spencer. The activities of the year were the junior play, "We Shook the Family Tree," and the Junior Prom, theme of which was "Over the Rainbow." It was carried out by a huge, lighted, overhead rainbow, which extended from one end of the gym to the other, between clouds in a soft blue sky. It was a huge success.

As seniors, we entered the doors of R.H.S. for the last time. As we entered, the class enrollment increased to the largest it has ever been. The new students were: Rhoda Wasson from Wellpinit, Washington; Mary Nielsen from Post Falls, Idaho, and Dick Miller from North Central, Spokane. This made our final enrollment of nineteen.

Our final officers were: President—Jimmie Bergeron, Vice-President —Richard Stuhlmiller, Secretary—Verdella Haeger, Treasurer—Joyce Brommer, Student Body Representative—Earl Oehlschlaeger, Advisor—Mr. Wisdom.

In September, we had the privilege of leading the freshmen to the "slaughter house" for their initiation.

On October 7, the seniors climbed aboard the Dodge and took off on their three-day sneak. They landed at the Bar M Dude Ranch at Gibbon, Oregon. Dancing, horse back riding, swimming, and other recreation was enjoyed by all.

As seniors, we were proud to see our boys very active in sports.

On Sunday, May 21, Baccalaureate Services were held. On May 26, Commencement Exercises were held in the auditorium.

There are seven who have struggled through the twelve years together. They are: Sally Landreth, Joyce Brommer, Marvin Carstens, Jerry Owens, Harold Krupke, Jimmie Bergeron, and Keith Schulz.

During March, the seniors put on their annual play, a comedy.

As Seniors we leave the thought, "In Ourselves Lies the Future."
