REARDAN, Wash. — Bruce Mann, 20, Reardan, was killed Wednesday when the auto he was driving struck the rear of a truck-trailer west of here on old Highway 2.

Injured in the accident were two of the victim’s brothers, James, 13, and Timothy, 7, who were taken to Deaconess Hospital in Spokane. Both were listed in serious condition late Wednesday.

State Patrol troopers said Mann’s car was going east on Highway 2 when it struck the rear of the truck towing a chemical spray applicator on a trailer. The truck apparently had stopped, troopers said.

The driver of the truck was Ned B. Landt, 18, Route 1, Nine Mile Falls, Wash, Landt was not injured.
