Introduction
The sole object in preparing his booklet is to give a general view of the early history of Reardan and immediate surrounding country, not forgetting the county and the Northwest as a whole.
It would be very ungrateful if I did not acknowledge the many favors, pictures, interviews, and constructive criticisms received from those who have so willingly assisted in all possible ways. I wish to thank those who have furnished material and especially the school board of Mr. B. L. Barnard, Mr. G. Swanson, Mr. G. Reinbold, Mr. P. Brommer, and Mr. P. Mahrt for authorizing this project, and the administrative backing of Mr. G. Wisdom and Mr. L. McKay, and the untiring efforts of Sharon Weyen, who was the general chairman of this project.
This whole project is a result of the Washington History Class of 1958-59.
