GRASS FLAMES CLOSE TO GRANGE WAREHOUSE
REARDAN, Wash., July 29.—Fire started by a passing train in the northwest part of town today was battled by the volunteer fire department, farmers and a train crew, It was halted within a few feet of the Grange Supply warehouse after burning several acres of grassland.
Volunteer fire fighters saved the home of Emil Koeller, but two chicken brooders were destroyed. A high wind swept the flames rapidly into the town.
