Rampaging Reardan Showdown Winner
REARDAN, Wash.—Reardan’s unbeaten Indians crushed Freeman 68-42 Friday night in a showdown of two of the state's top five Class B high school basketball teams.
Both teams are members of the Bi-County League. Reardan was ranked second and Freeman fifth in this week's Associated Press poll but the difference on the floor seemed greater.
Reardan raced to a 12-9 first period lead and then outscored the Scotties 16-8 in the second period and 22-12 in the third. Steve Simpson pumped through 25 points for the Indians while Garry Anyan added 17 and Lee Jackman 12.
Reardan is now 11-0 for the season and Freeman 10-2.
