Alice Lynch

Service for Alice L. Adair Lynch is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home followed by burial at the West Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Lynch, 80, died Tuesday.

Born in Lincoln, Kan., she moved to Spokane 70 years ago.

She attended Lewis and Clark High School and graduated from Cheney High School in 1931.

Mrs. Lynch graduated from Cheney Normal School in 1933 with a teaching certificate. She received a master’s degree from Eastern Washington University.

She taught at the Four Mound, Indian Prairie, Spokane Bridge, Warsaw, Marshall and Central schools. She then taught in the Reardan School District for 17 years before retiring in 1973.

Mrs. Lynch was secretary for West Greenwood Cemetery District 2 for many years.

She was a member of the Washington and National Education associations. She was a charter member of the Four Mound Home Economics Club.
