PLANS A SOUTHERN TOUR.

Cheney Baseball Team Wants to Swing Through the Palouse.

“The Cheney baseball team is planning a southern trip in the early part of the summer. Prof. Sampson of the Cheney normal school says if the team continues its present rate of improvement the trip is assured. The matter rests entirely with the work the nine does in the games they now have scheduled. Should they come up to the standard set for them a schedule of games will be arranged with Colfax, Pullman college and Moscow. The “following schedule has already been arranged:

  • Spangle vs. Cheney, at Cheney. May 5.
  • Blair or Reardan vs, Cheney, at Cheney, May 12.
  • Spangle vs. Cheney, at Spangle, May 19.
  • Medical Lake vs, Cheney, at Cheney, May 26
  • Reardan vs, Cheney, probably at Cheney, June 2.
  • Blair Business college vs. Cheney, at Spokane, June 9.
  • Reardan vs. Cheney, probably at Reardan, June 16

Last Saturday the Cheney team defeated Medical Lake by a score of 28 to 19 in an easy game.
