FIFTH ANNUAL PROVES THE MOST SUCCESSFUL IN HISTORY,

Ball Game, Bucking Contests and Dance in the Evening Are Features.

REARDAN, Wash. June 10,—The fifth annual mule day, celebrated here today, was the largest and best Reardan has ever had. The crowd is estimated at 2500 and the horses and colts on exhibition are among the best in Lincoln county.

The stock was judged by Professor McDonald of Pullman, and at 2 o'clock the crowd followed Reardan’s band to the ball park, where the local team cleaned up an aggregation from Deep Creek and Medical Lake, the score being 9 to 0. Gains of the Tacoma Tigers pitched for Reardan and one of Varney’s men pitched for the losers.

Immediately after tho ball game the bucking contests took place, The names of the winners of the purses and prizes offered were not announced tonight. A ball tonight ended the day’s entertainment.
