The Letterman’s Club or Gray “R” Club holds election for officers within the first two weeks following the opening date of school. At this meeting the following were elected:

President: Ervin Christensen
Vice-president: Bruce Tramm
Secretary: Norman Fiess
Treasurer: Jack Lavender
Council Rep.: John Schultz
Advisor: Mr. Stimpson

The first major activity was the sponsoring of the high school Carnival. This carnival was held at the close of the football season and before the basketball season started. The boys planned the various booths and supervised most of them during the carnival. Other booths were delegated to other organizations in the school. The carnival was a great success.

It is also the duty of the club to name the senior, who in their opinion has proven to be the most valuable athlete. This name will then appear on the Dr. Reinking trophy. Selection is based upon the number of sports participated in, cooperation with the coach and team, attitude towards coach and players, team and school, It is also based upon training and sportsmanship.
