Frank Harder Reported Killed

[First] Lt. Frank A. Harder, who was reported missing in action in September, has been killed, according to word from the war department to his mother, Mrs. N. H. Harder of Spokane. Lt. Harder was a pilot of a B-25 medium bomber, and was seen to go down 20 miles west of the Italian coast after a raid on Italy. He enlisted at Geiger field and was a student at Gonzaga Law school. He was formerly stationed in England and had been in North Africa for a year. He is the grandson of the late Henry Harder, who made his home here. He is a nephew of Mrs. Rosa Moon and a cousin of Mrs. George J. Hein.
