A band clinic was held at Davenport on December 2. The following band members participated, Clifford Bergeron, Margaret Stuhlmiller, Anna Stark, Charles Franklin, Bernard Thiemens, Willa Dahlin, Catherine Thiemens, Glenna Landreth, Darlene Reilly, Nadine Howard, Audreyann Lightle, Carol Hein, Mary Bergeron, Dale Dahlin, Jimmy Bergeron, Joyce Brommer, Sally Landreth, Janet Clinton, and Nancy Whipple.

Bands from Davenport, Wilbur, Almira, and Odessa were also there.

The students were separated into groups according to the kind of musical instrument played. These groups practiced for a period of two hours, at which time some individual instruction was given. In the afternoon the groups united into one group in order that they might practice for the concert which was presented in the evening.

On March 10, there were eight band members—Clifford Bergeron, Glenna Landreth, Joyce Brommer, Sally Landreth, Nancy Whipple, Darlene Reilly, Joan Meyers, and Paul Lillengreen—who went to Wilbur to participate in the 100 piece Bi-County band. This band clinic was directed by Mr. Smith and Mr. Hallgrimson from Eastern Washington College of Education. Practice of the mass band was held all afternoon and the band was then presented in an inspiring concert that evening.

The Band played the following numbers at the Spring Concert.

  • Glorious Victory by McDuff
  • Desert Song by Romberg
  • Seeds of Cadmus by Johnson
  • Tip Top Marchy by Mesang
  • Aurora Overture Yoder
  • Jingles Bells by Leonard
  • Far Away Places by Kramer
