SENIOR CLASS HISTORY [Continued]

On the morning of September 8, 1953, we starfed our senior year. Pat Kinservick is not enroll for this year. Lloyd Tremer enlisted in the Air Force at the end of the semester, thus reducing our numbers to twenty. The first senior activity of the year is the election of officers. The following were elected:

President: Bruce Tramm
Vice President: Norman Fiess
Secretary: Ervin Christensen
Treasurer: John Schultz
Council Rep: Paul Carstens
Annual Rep: Ronald Walther
Class Advisor: Mr. Wisdom

The first social event of the year was the Freshman initiation. Each freshman was required to wear a green hat for four days prior to the initiation which was held on the evening of Sept. 25. The freshmen came dressed in costumes representing radio characters. Prizes were awarded to the freshmen showing the best sportsmanship. Following the initiation was a dance in the gymnasium. Refreshments were served later in the evening.

The senior play was presented on the evenings of March 18 and 19. The name of the play “The Little Dog Laughed” was coached and directed by Mr. Delbert Stelljes. Fifteen students from the class were chosen to be in the play. The play was a grand success.

The spring activities included the Senior day, Career day at Wilbur, the Junior- Senior Prom and the parent’s banquet for the seniors.
