      1. Louis Schadegg Killed in Action

First Lt. Louis G. Schadegg was killed in action in Holland on October 29, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George J. Schadegg, from the war department. Lt. Schadegg was a graduate of the college at Cheney and received his masters degree from Gonzaga University. He had had two years of pre-medical training and qualified as a medical parachutist while serving in England. Schadegg went to France on D-Day and from there to Holland where he lost his life. He lived at Reardan while his mother was a teacher in the Reardan school before moving to Cheney.
