Dies After Years of Illness.

REARDAN, Wash., Sept. 4.——Mrs. Claus Carstens, a pioneer of this state and vicinity, died yesterday noon, after an illness of four years. Mr. and Mrs. Carstens came to this state nearly 24 years ago from Germany. Four years ago Mrs. Carstens was stricken with paralysis and has been confined to her bed most of the time since. She leaves a husband and two sons, Christ and William, The funeral will be held Friday.
