HARRINGTON, Wash., June 26.— The funeral today of Reuben Bowers was conducted by the Rev. S. H. King and was largely attended. Interment was made it the Harrington cemetery.

J. H. Boyer yesterday purchased from his partner, W. A. Billow, his half interest in the B. & B. cafe. Mr, and Mrs, Billow soon go to Spokane, from whence they go to Portland,

HARRINGTON, Wash., June 25.—-The thermometer registered 100 in the shade at Bluestem and 98 at Harrington. Today at 2 o'clock at Harrington it was 90 In the shade, and at 3 o'clock a thunder’ storm came along, with a heavy downpour of rain.

HARRINGTON, Wash. June 24.—Reuben Bowers, 35 years of age, who was operated on for a severe case of appendicitis a week ago today at the Harrington hospital, died Sunday morning and the funeral will be held June 25 at 10:20 o'clock. Mr. Bowers built the headless biplane and with Mr. Mecklenburg was making practice flights at the home of his father south of town. Mr. Bowers was an Odd Fellow and besides a wife and daughter leaves a father, Adam Bowers; four sisters, Mrs. C. W. Davie of Almira, Mrs. O. V. Greeh of Spokane, Mrs. Otheo Campbell of Kennewick end Mrs. Lee Hughes of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Tad Bowers of Harrington and Paul Bowers, who is at present in Indiana.
