CONDEMNATION SUIT IS STARTED

Lincoln County Heads Are Desirous of Changing Road.

DAVENPORT, Wash, Oct. 16.—Despairing of being able to agree on terms for right of way, the county commissioners, through Prosecutor James S. Freece, have begun suit in condemnation for land that will be used in the road change a half mile north of Reardan, by which a half mile will be clipped in the distance between Reardan and Long Lake, enabling better grades than the present road. The defendants are W. H. Capps and wife, J. N. Carlock and wife, and P. H. Triggs and wife. The total length of the change is about three-quarters of a mile, taking about five acres of land, for which the defendants asked in excess of $1000.
