SCENE OF BANK ROBBERY AND TWO CAPTURED BANDITS

Chronicle Photographer Speeds to Reardan on Report of Holdup —Snaps Pictures of Men and Building

The Farmers’ State Bank of Reardan was robbed of between $20,000 and $25,000 in cash, bonds and other securities by three mashed bandits about 4:30 yesterday morning. A total of $8200 in Liberty bonds and $550 in cash was recovered and two of the bandits were captured within six hours. Photo was taken by the Chronicle's staff reported who rushed to Reardan by auto immediately after the report of the robbery was received here.

Bob Williams (left) and James Kelly, the two bank robbers captured yesterday at Reardan, confessed their part in the robber and aided in recovering part of the loot. They were taken by a posse that searched the surrounding country following the robbery. Picture was snapped by the Chronicle camera man in a hardware store at Reardan soon after their arrest.
