Charge Auto Driver with Manslaughter

PAVELICH IS HELD IN CITY JAIL WITHOUT BOND—WITNESSES SAY HE TRAVELED 50 MILES AN HOUR

Charges of manslaughter will be filed against John Pavelich, driver of the machine which collided with Dr. George H. Green's car this morning and resulted in the doctor's death, it was stated by Prosecutor Charles Leavy and Deputy Frank Funkhouser.

The statement was made following an investigation into the accident that occurred shortly before noon at Fourth and Division.

FIFTY MILES AN HOUR

"Our investigation has shown that Pavelich was driving about 50 miles an hour," stated Prosecutor Funkhauser. "Witnesses testified that the doctor was driving at a moderate rate of speed, while Pavelich was undoubtedly exceeding the speed limit."

Pavelich is held in jail, and the bond has not yet been set.
