START TESTIMONY IN PAVELICH CASE

Woman Asks $10,755, Claiming She Was Thrown From Auto.

Testimony in the $10,755 damage suit of Mrs. Lela Humphrey against John Pavelich began in Superior Judge R. M. Webster's court this morning.

Mrs, Humphrey took the stand and told the jury Pavelich had thrown her from his automobile August 25 when she resisted his advances on a road two miles northeast of the city limits. Her ribs were cracked and a bone in the forearm was broken, she declared.

Pavelich was called as a witness for the plaintiff and admitted inviting her to leave the machine, but denied he threw her out. They were on their way to a roadhouse at the time.
