PAVELCH WINS $10,000 LAWSUIT

Jury Decides Defendant Blameless—Sued by Mrs. Lela Humphrey.

Jurors who heard the $10,705 damage suit brought by Mrs. Lela Humphrey against John Pavelich returned a sealed verdict in favor of the defendant this morning in Superior Judge R. M. Webster's court.

Trial of the ease occupied three days and testimony was of a sensational nature. Mrs. Humphrey alleged that Pavelich threw her from his automobile while on the way to a roadhouse northeast of the city. She testified her ribs and an arm were broken by her fall to the ground.

Pavelich stood trial twice in superior court on a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of Dr. George H. Green, who was killed in an automobile collision last spring The collision occurred at Fourth and Division when an automobile driven by Pavelich was alleged to have run into the doctor. The jury disagreed in the first trial and returned a verdict of not guilty in the second trial.
