Bridge Work Hurried.

Steel work on the new bridge across the Spokane river at the Narrows was brought together today, joining Lincoln and Stevens counties. Concrete work will start immediately and the edifice will be open for traffic in six weeks if weather conditions continue good, the engineers stated. Concrete piers were installed last spring and steel work began July 15.

The bridge is 800 feet long and replaces the old Nee bridge at Lincoln and Detillion bridge north of Davenport. State road No. 22 has been revised because of the lake behind the dam flooding the old road and this new bridge is part of the new highway.
