A water leak near the elementary school office caused a lot of headaches for staff members—literally. The leak, which occurred March 8, seeped into the walls and turned to mold. Within a few weeks, staff members were coughing, hacking and experiencing sore throats. The district called in an industrial hygienist from Education Service District 101, and made a plan for cleanup. The walls and carpets have been replaced and the studs allowed to dry.
