REARDAN FARMERS GET TOGETHER

REARDAN, Wash., March 10.—(Special Correspondence.)—The Farmers’ union met Saturday ‘afternoon in Bowie's hall for a nice lunch, which was served by the ladies and was heartily enjoyed by all. The farmers have had no little amount of trouble in getting organized around Reardan, but are now on their feet and it is only a matter of a short time before they hope to draw all of the mere backward farmers into the union. The farmers are working, not to try and run the mills out, but for their own good. They hope to get better prices for their produce and yet not be crippling the home merchant.

The Farmers’ West Crescent Telephone company has started work on its new line in Reardan and will be ready for business by April 1.

The entertainment given by the pupils of the school Friday evening was well attended and the young people handled their respective roles very nicely.
