County Approves Four Lakes Shift

Annexation of the Four Lakes school district by Cheney will be effective March 1 if last night's action of the county committee for school district reorganization is approved by the state board of education.

County Superintendent Van W. Emerson reported this today and said the committee also approved transfer of the Hugh Jackman property from the Medical Lake to the Reardan school district and transfer of the Leo Holznagel property from Reardan to Medical Lake,

"Action on the annexation of the inoperative Warsaw district to either Nine Mile Falls or Reardan was tabled indefinitely," he said

"The committee set February 16 at 8 p. m, as the time for defining the director districts of the newly created East Valley district. The 10 directors now Serving Otis Orchards and Trent will work with the committee on this problem."

He said the committee at that time will consider a petition for transfer of the North Glenora area from Spangle to Cheney and the Dean Denny property from Cheney to Spangle.
