Fire Destroys Half of Ford.

Ford, a little town on Chamokane creek, 42 miles west of Spokane, was half destroyed by fire Friday afternoon, a restaurant, confectionery store and a general store being destroyed, together with their contents. Thomas S. Griffiths of Spokane arrived soon after the fire began and with the aid of the surrounding farmers, sawmill men and residents of the town saved the rest of the town, in spite of the prevailing high wind, which spread the red hot cinders abroad.
