ROUND OF PARTIES FOR MISS MATTES


Many affairs are planned to fete Miss Katheryn Mattes, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Mattes, W427 Twenty-fourth, who is to marry Charles Waterman Laing of Philadelphia on September 8 at the home of her parents.

Thursday evening Miss Gladys Shuck is to entertain for the popular bride-clect at a formal dinner at her home, W608 Thirteenth.

Reardan Fete.

Saturday evening Miss Elizabeth Raymer 1s to entertain for Miss Mattes at a party at her home in Reardan, to which Spokane friends have been invited.

Sunday two interesting affairs have been planned. In the morning Miss. Vera Latham and Miss Marjorie Gunning will be hostesses at a breakfast party at Glen Tana. That evening Miss Rhea Ruth Hearst will give a supper party at her home, E752 Twenty-sixth.

Tuesday evening Miss Alice Jean Hogue and Miss Margaret Lyng are to entertain at a party at the home of Miss Hogue, S1322 Grove, at an affair which will compliment both Miss Mattes and Miss Frances Durrell Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Clarence Smith, who will become the bride of J. Richard Huges of Woodland, Cal., September 6.
