BASKETBALL (Continued)

The mothers of the Reardan High School basketball boys honored the boys and their coaches, Walter Johnson and Leigh Steele, with a banquet at the school Friday, March 12. The fathers and the faculty men were also guests.

Lewis McKay, supt. was the toastmaster, Clifford Bergeron responded for the boys and Mr. Otis Beck for the fathers. Mr. Jack Friel, Coach of Basketball of Washington State College was the principle speaker. Mr. Johnson and Mr. Steele also spoke. Mr. Friel showed two films of the WSC basketball game played at Cow Palace in San Francisco.

A word to our high school basketball players—

Although not always scoring in the winners ledger, these fellows have scored in our hearts, There is victory in steady, dependable, and clean, sportsmanship that cannot be written. Is it not generally agreed our boys scored high in these?
