A very successful Carnival was held on the evening of Oct. 29, in the Grade School Gymnasium.

Interest in the Carnival began to grow when raffle tickets for a large order of groceries were sold.

Another popular phase of the Carnival was the selection of the Carnival Queen. Each class selected an candidate. When the points were counted and the results announced, it was found that Miss Janet Clinton of the Freshman Class was the winner.

Wheels of Fortune, Beauty Shop, Fortune tellers, Baseball throws, and a Penny Pitch were a few of the many booths at which a happy crowd found entertainment. Of special interest was the “telegraph booth” thru which anyone could send a telegram to another individual.

The food booths were as usual popular. Pie and coffee served in the Home Economics room provided a place of retreat for relaxation and refreshment.
