SOPHMORE CLASS

SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY

On the morning of September 5, 1950, twenty-five freshmen entered the hallowed halls of Reardan High School, The following coming from other districts were John English, Bob Headington, Shirley Madison, Patsy Heslin, Ervin and Betty Christensen, Elsie and Claudine Rhoads and Marjorie Fields. Mary Ellen Edwards soon joined the class but later dropped out. John English transferred in February to Central Valley High School.

On September 25, the seniors initiated us, but we had fun just the same. In the spring we gave the seniors a return party. Nearly all the Freshman boys participated in some form of athletics. Claudia Bull and Betty Christensen were majorettes.

On the morning of September 4, 1951 we entered Reardan High School as Sophomores. Two of our members namely Betty Christensen and Marjorie Fields did not enroll. Soon after school opened Pat Kinservick enrolled as a member of our class. Class officers for this year are:

President: Bob Headington
Vice President: Elsie Rhoads
Secretary: Donald Kelso
Treasurer: Margaret Hanning
Student Rep.: Norman Fiess
Class advisor: Mr. Ross 1st sem.; Mr Lizee 2nd Sem.

As in the previous year, the boys of the Sophomore class entered into the various sports. George Carstens, Bruce Tramm, Ronnie Walthers and Tom Rogers were on the F.F.A. judging team. The Sophomore class party, entertaining the rest of the High School was held on the evening of March 7. The evening was spent in square dancing. Mr. Virgil Rux was the dance caller.
