YELL QUEENS

Left to right: Marion Wendlandt, Carol Lightle, Janet McDowell.

We're with you, team
We're with you team,
So fight, fight, fight

To know the yells of the student body and then present them in such a way that enthusiasm will be developed on the part of the students was the duty which our three yell queens so efficiently performed. Being a yell queen is not easy. These girls spent many hours in practice so that they might work in unison and more efficiently lead the cheering sections.

The control of the cheering section was under their supervision. By their actions and conduct they were able to set the standards of citizenship and sportsmanship which characterizes good relationship between patrons, visiting cheering sections and attitudes toward players and officials.

To Carol Lightle, who is a Senior, and will complete her third year as yell queen, we express a deep feeling of gratitude for her efforts in yell leading.

To Janet and Marion we also give special praise to the fine work they have done. We will see them again next year.
