BASEBALL

The baseball season opened this year on March 15. However the League games did not start until April 10.

Nineteen boys availed themselves of the opportunity offered this year for baseball, Out of this number, three were seniors, five were juniors, five were sophomores and six were freshmen.

As last year, there is a split league, Davenport, Almira, Reardan, Creston and Wil- bur playing in the North half, This means that each team plays a home and home series with games scheduled twice a week.

The team this year is composed of many experienced players, and with average luck, should make a very good showing in the Bi-County.

The Northside had one representative in the play-offs which was held on May 19. The winner of the Northside played the winner of the Southside to see which team represented the Bi-County at the District.
