On September 8, 1953, twenty-five freshmen timidly walked up the steps and set foot into the halls of Reardan High School.

The twenty-five members consisted of eighteen who were graduates of the Rear- dan Grade School and seven others coming from Long Lake, Four Mound and Indian Prairie. During the year we gained three new members, Cecil Wood, Edward Sherwood and Donna Collier. Cecil Wood withdrew on Dec. 23.

The freshmen were initiated by the seniors on Friday evening, September 25. We were forced to wear green caps for four days previous to the initiation. Each freshman came dressed in @ costume and were paraded down town during the noon hour. That evening the freshmen performed various stunts on the stage. Although it did seem like it at the time, the freshmen did have a great deal of fun. Bill Mahrt received a prize for being the most cooperative freshman.

The freshman party was held on the evening of April 23. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Barr of Edwall called the dances. Refreshments were served.

Officers for this year were:

President: Dick Sherwood
Vice-President: Marjorie Wendlandt
Secretary: Marlene Bergeron
Treasurer: Karol Kelso
Council Rep.: Robert Backer
Advisor: Mr, Stellies

Three members of our class were on the football squad, six turned out for basketball, five turned out for baseball and eight are members of the band.
