CHENEY JAMBOREE [Dec. 3]

The teams participating were Reardan, Medical Lake, Deer Park, Ritzville and Cheney.

Reardan placed second. We scored 16 points against Medical Lake, 10 points against Deer Park, 11 points against Ritzville and 3 points against Cheney, making a total of 40 points for the evening.

Vern Rogers was high point man with 18 points. Ron Ahlf and Bob Rux were next with 9 and 8 points respectively.

LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT [Dec. 28-29]

This year the following teams were invited to the Lion’s Club Tournament: Odessa, Medical Lake and Valley. The drawings pitted Reardan against Valley, and Odessa against Medical Lake. Results were:

Reardan 54 Valley 37
Odessa 52 Medical Lake 53)

The final evening games were winners against winners and losers against losers. Scores were:

Odessa 56 Valley 32
Reardan 50 Medical Lake 61

During this tournament, Reardan scored 104 points: Vern Rogers—25, Ron Ahlf—26, Bob Rux—18, Robert Backer—14, Bill Hein—17. Dick Kamm and Neil Schmitt each scored 2 points.

BI-COUNTY TOURNAMENT [Feb. 15-16-17-18]

Eight teams comprised this tournament: Reardan, Davenport, Almira and Creston from the North side and Odessa, Ritzville, Lind and Harrington from the South side. Teams played against and scores are as follows:

Feb. 15 at Ritzville Reardan 52 Harrington 47
Feb. 16 at Davenport Reardan 45 Odessa 42
Feb. 18 at Ritzville Reardan 53 Lind 68

Reardan scored a total of 150 points in this tournament. Reardan’s high point man for the tournament was Vern Rogers with a total of 52 points. Ron Ahlf was runner up with a total of 36 points.

DISTRICT TOURNAMENT [Feb. 29 Mar. 1-2-3]

This tournament was an eight team double elimination tournament held in the gymnasium of Eastern Washington College of Education at Cheney. Scores and teams played against may be found on the page containing the newspaper clippings.
