MUSIC CLINIC—EASTERN WASHINGTON—Cheney, Washington, November 17
Those selected from Reardan for the All Eastern Washington Band were Bill Mahrt, Kathy Mahrt, and Jerome Tierney. Those selected for the All Eastern Washington Mixed Chorus were Verla Dickey, Marlene Bergeron, Bill Mahrt, Dennis Fiess, Dennis Bogart, Jerome Tierney and Bob Plotts.
SPOKANE COUNTY MASSED FESTIVAL—Mead High School, November 27
On Tuesday, November 27, eighteen Reardan High School students journyed to Mead High School for a combined mixed chorus rehearsal with musicians from various Spokane County schools, The rehearsals lasted all day and then the students returned the following Wednesday evening for the concert, which also included massed Band numbers and a special number presented by each Spokane County school.
Mr. Glen Whitney was Director of the Mixed chorus, which included 200 selected voices. Reardan students making the trip were: Verla Dickey, Kathy Mahrt, Priscilla Walden, Marlene Bergeron, Nancy Cole, Pat Irish, Judy Hein, Lavina Triplett, Gayle Willms, Dennis Fiess, Dennis Bogart, Larry Dickey, Bob Kirk, Jerome Tierney, Bob Backer, Bill Mahrt, Bob Plotts, Tom Plotts.

The Reardan music groups attended this Festival at Ritzville. Both the band and chorus participated.

EASTERN WASHINGTON MUSIC COMPETITION FESTIVAL
Whitworth College, Spokane, April 27
Reardan High School was well represented by its chorus at this festival. In performing three numbers each, including one without piano accompaniment, the boys’ chorus received a rating of Superior, the girls’ chorus a rating of Excellent, the Mixed Chorus a rating of Excellent.
FUTURE ACTIVITIES
The band will parade on May 17 at the Lilac Festival Stadium Show and also in downtown Spokane on the day of the Lilac Parade, May 18. The Spring Concert, in which both the band and chorus will participate, will be held on May 25th. Our final activity for this school year will be our marching in the Reardan Community Day, June 1, 1957.
