Mattes Lumber was a lumber dealer in Reardan for many years. Howard J. Mattes bought out the lumber business of J. A. Hansen in ___ and he in turn was bought out by __ to form Reardan Building Supply. This lumber yard was on south east corner of Lake Street and Spokane Avenue.
