Harold Proff was born November 29, 1914. He graduated from North Central high school in Spokane in 1932 and went to the University of Minnesota. He was working at the Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan at the time of his induction. He was captured by the Japanese during the Fall of the Philippines in early 1942.

Hartz, lives at 132 North Thomas street; Pvt Edward A. Sergeant,son of Fred Sergeant, Rt. 3, and Lt. Harold P. Proff, son of Mrs. J. W. Graler, Rt. 3.
