Ensign Wayne Garber

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Garber of Kennewick received word last week that their son, Wayne Garber, had graduated and received his wings as a navy pilot at Corpus Christi, Texas. Ensign Garber has been sent to Jacksonville, Fla., where he will continue in aviation as a pilot of a navy bomber. Martin Garber is a brother of Charles Garber and formerly lived here.

Wayne Garber Killed

Charles Garber received word Sunday that his nephew, Ensign Martin Wayne Garber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Garber, was killed January 3. He was born in Kennewick and graduated there in 1939 as an honor student. He was a senior at the University of Washington when he enlisted. He entered the service over two years ago and went to England in August. His father is well known here as being a former resident.
