The Detillion Bridge used to carry WA-25 across the Spokane River. It was about 10 miles upstream of the Columbia River.

The bridge has a long history:

  • Bridge built
  • 1894-1901 repaired
  • 1903 bridge closed again
  • 1903 Howe Truss Bridge built
  • 1904 washed out
  • 1905 bridge repaired
  • 1909 bridge condemned and new bridge built
  • 1939 bridge collapsed when collided with a fuel tanker trailer
  • 1939 temporary pile bridge built
  • 1940 bridge closed due to high water and again reopened
  • 1941 bridge deck was blasted off and used as a dock for the Grand Coulee fleet of boats
