THE BEET FACTORY FOR REARDAN

County Surveyor Rockland Enthusiastic Over the Project.

Says the Davenport Times: “Jerry Rockhold, county surveyor, returned Tuesday from a trip down the Spokane river, where he has been doing some road surveying. Mr. Rockhold is enthusiastic over the prospect of securing a beet factory in Reardan in the near future. The owners of a factory in Nebraska have been looking into the beet question in this state, and are so well pleased with the showing made in this county, that they have about concluded to transfer their plant to Reardan with whose people they have been corresponding, provided the farmers of that locality will guarantee so many acres of beets with which to make a satisfactory test this fall, Of course the Reardan people have concluded to meet this very reasonable demand,”
