HUNGRY BURGLARS

Burglars broke into the residence of James Monaghan at Boone avenue and Lidgerwood street last night while the occupants were asleep and carried off everything of value they could find.

Mr. Monaghan reports the loss of an overcoat, two clocks and considerable silverware, The men who committed the burglary evidently came well prepared, probably in a buggy or other vehicle, for, in addition to the above articles, they stole two hams, a case of eggs, bacon and coffee. A case of wine and demijohn of whiskey completed the depredations,

In all probability the marauders contemplate a "big eat" and a thoroughly merry time the balance of the winter. The police are investigating the case.
