PUTS LARGE LAND TRACT ON MARKET

Chamokane Lumber Company to Open Nine Sections on River Below Nine Mile.

FROM $10 TO $15 ACRE

When Cleared 90 Per Cent Is Tillable—Most of It Timbered.

Nine sections out of a total of 15 sections of land which it owns on the Spokane river, just below Nine Mile, are to be put on the market by the Chamokane Lumber company. The land will be handled by Barnes, Motie & Ready and will be sold at from $10 to $15 an acre. It embraces about 60,000 acres.

This land is mostly timbered. Ac- cording to reports of the company there is an average of about 4000 feet of saw timber to the acre, besides a great deal of cordwood.

At least 90 per cent of the land is tillable after clearing. Some of the land now in cultivation produces good crops of grain, vegetables and fruit.

This land lies on the north bank of the river and extends from Nine Mile down the river about 10 miles. It will be sold in tracts ranging from 540 to 640 acres.
