NEW BANK FOR MANSFIELD


PROMINENT MEN Of VICINITY ARE BEHIND INSTITUTION.


Capital Is Placed at $25,000, Fully Paid Up—Will Soon Erect Building.


MANSFIELD, Wash., Sept. 8—Mansfield has another new bank. This bank has strong business men behind it and promises a safe banking business. The officers are A. L. Tucker, president; H. J. Mattes, vice president, and A. Kirkpatrick, cashier. The president and cashier are well-known business men of Coulee City. The board of directors are A. L. Tucker, H. J. Mattes, A. Kirkpatrick, M. F. Adams and L. B. Wright.

The stockholders are as follows: H. J. Mattes, president First National bank, Odobolt, Iowa; M. F. Adams, vice president Bank of Harrington, Harrington, Wash; E. L. Farnsworth, cashier of State bank, Wilbur, Wash.; L. B. Wright, president of Wright Lumber company, Coulee City, Wash.; W. B. Bay, cashier First National bank, Odobolt, Iowa; L. McPherson, president State bank, Wilbur, Wash.; J. D. Bird, president Bird Lumber company, Monroe, Wash.; Joseph Mattes, Chamokane Lumber company, Reardan, Wash.; D. K. McPherson, director State bank, Wilbur, Wash; A. I. Tucker, cashier Coulee State bank, Coulee City, Wash.; A. Alexander, Wilbur, Wash.; A. Kirkpatrick, former assistant cashier Coulee State bank, Coulee City, Wash.

The bank is doing business in the Wright brothers’ building, but will build on its lot on Main street a brick building as soon as the railroad reaches Mansfield, about October 1. The bank starts with a capital of $25,000, fully paid.
