OFFER $150,000 FOR BIG FIGHT
Reardan Men Put In Big Bid for Jeffries-Johnson Contest.
At a meeting composed of the leading business men of Reardan, Wash., and held at Davenport's yesterday, it was decided to offer a purse of $150,000 to bring the Jeffries-Johnson fight to Reardan on July 4.
Among others present at the meeting were: M. Moriarity, president Reardan Exchange bank and Washington Grain and Milling company; John Raymer, president Chamokane Lumber company and hardware dealer; H. J. Mattes, capitalist and treasurer Cham- okane Lumber company; F. B. Rennie, miller and capitalist, and a number of the other leading financial men of tho town.
[The fight was held on July 4 in San Francisco.]
